In 2007 the Ensemble of Moscow State Philharmonic Society, Laureate of International Competitions, Brahms Trio celebrated its jubilee - 20 years of its performing activities. After winning recognition at International Competitions in Italy (Trapani, 1993, 2nd Prize) and in Germany (Weimar, 1996, 1st Prize), Brahms Trio has been performing with invariable success in the best venues of Moscow, St.Petersburg, Brussels, Vienna, Warsaw, Rome, Melbourne etc. Brahms Trio’ discography includes works by Beethoven, Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Pabst, Arensky, Glinka, Rachmaninov, Shostakovich, Schnittke, Knipper, Bloch, and Piazzola.
Graduates of Moscow Conservatory and Gnesins' Russian Musical Academy, members of Brahms Trio have become followers of the traditions of Russian performing school and high ideas of music education.
From 1994 Brahms Trio has been actively participating in an annual autumn Festival in Moscow, whose concert programme includes performances of famous Russian musicians such as N.Gutman, N.Petrov, Moscow Piano Trio, State Borodin String Quartet, State Shostakovich String Quartet.
In 1998 the artists of the Trio established «Brahms Trio Foundation» for realization of charity programmes in the field of culture.
In 1999 project «Northern Musical Assemblies» was launched. In its framework the musicians of Brahms Trio have given concerts of Russian chamber music, master classes and public lectures in more than 50 cities and towns of the Russian province. Desire to make the most remote corners of the enormous country spiritually closer to major cities with their active music life, has made the educational journeys of Brahms Trio to the cities of the Urals, Far North and Polar Region an integral part of the artistic life of the ensemble. In 1999 and 2000 «Northern Musical Assemblies» of Brahms Trio were awarded grants of the «Open Society Institute» (G.Soros Foundation).
In 1999 under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, Moscow State Academic Philharmonic Society and Goethe-Institut Brahms Trio started creation of the anthology of Russian Piano Trio. Putting forward for themselves a task of bringing back to life forgotten pages of music history and giving new interpretation to national cultural legacy from the point of view of contemporary performing esthetics, the musicians are determined to record and issue CD series of all piano Trios composed in Russia in XIX-XX Centuries.
The project «Two Centuries of Russian Piano Trio» was awarded a grant of the Russian President.

Born in 1971. After graduating from the Moscow Gnessins’ Music School (class of Professor Tatyana Zelikman) and Gnessins’ Russian Musical Academy (class of Professor Vladimir Tropp) she continued her studies as a postgraduate student of the Moscow State Conservatory (class of Professor Alexander Bonduriansky).
The founder of Brahms Trio, she has performed with it in Austria, Italy, Australia, Turkey, Germany, Poland, Croatia, Belgium and more then 60 cities of Russia. Laureate of the International Competitions in Italy (1993, 2nd Prize) and in Germany (1996, 1st Prize). Her discography includes works by Beethoven, Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Arensky, Glinka, Rachmaninov, Shostakovich, Schnittke, Bloch, and Piazzola.
Since 1994 - a constant participant in concert series at the Small Hall of Moscow Conservatory. Since 2003 Art-director of the International Art Festival “Art-November” in Moscow. Since 2002 Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation. Since 2003 she holds the position of Professor of Chamber ensemble at the Moscow State Conservatory.
Kirill Rodin (cello)
Born in Moscow in 1963 and studied at the Moscow Gnessin Music School. He received undergraduate and graduate degrees from the Moscow Conservatory, where he studied with professors Vera Birina and Natalia Schakhovskaya.
Rodin won First Prize at the XIV Jeunesses Musicales Competition for Cellists in Belgrade in 1984, and was awarded the Gold Medal at the VIII International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow in 1986.
Rodin's concert tours as recitalist and soloist with orchestra have taken him to over 50 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and the Americas. His discography includes works by Bach, Beethoven, Haydn, Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, and Piazzola.
Kirill Rodin has led master classes in German, Spain, Japan, South Korea, and Australia, and he holds the position of Professor of Cello at the Moscow State Conservatory.
